. We were discussing stuff. He asked me in his careless tone and pinch of sarcasm. So, How will you be promoting this blogthingeee. Well I was about to answer but stopped and said read it. He Smiled. Little did he know that I was cooking this post in the Draft of my Dashboard for weeks.
- Quality Content : This one is a no brainier, time and again we have seen that if there is quality in your work people will value it and also spread the word around while being everyday visitors to your blog.
- Defining the Problem: Define a problem and solve it well, try an create a niche in your interest area.
- Quid Pro Quo: Try to be AOAR(As Orignal As Required). Do an honest research. Provide dues to people wherever necessary for help or inspiration.
- Define Consumer base: Define clearly who are the target consumers for your blog. Find out where all they are currently, what do hey need and then fill the void in the expectation and provided.
- Feedback: Be in search of constant feedback from friends, peers, enemies… take them seriously and correct the flaws and improve the strengths.
- Make Friends: Make friendly relationship with people give and receive help, suggestion. Help them if you can, Share projects and praises. This will be help you gather more point of view.
- Contribute: Do maintain the equilibrium on the internet contribute to projects in anyways you can “code” if you are a dev, “branding,logo,UI” if you are a designer, “Technical Manuals” if you are a writer and paypal them if you can.
- Do no evil: Be polite while answering your comments, be ready to take criticism and explain the point if possible also be ready to take divergent views whole world will not think like you and it shouldn’t either. Don’t thrive on negative publicity its short lived.

I’ve found using Adoptic is a good way to show off your posts. http://www.brian1127.blogspot.com. Entrecard is good for showing an image of your blog, though.
If I have a great ranking website with Google and just added a blog to it, will it be indexed or I still need to promote it?
If you have a great ranking website with “Google” then half the battle is won.Other half is Great and Useful content !Blog’s just a tool nothing more.
